Tasks at Hand: A Poem About the Delights of Faithful Marriage

by Lawrence Fox

Lawrence and Susan Fox celebrate their 32nd Wedding Anniversary on July 23, 2015

“Husband, you are so smitten.”

“Wife, you are so delightful.”

“Husband, we have countless tasks at hand.”

“Wife, that I understand; must they pause us on this day?”
“Husband, you are so obsessed.”

“Wife, just one more caress.”

“Husband, your hooks are in me now.”

“Wife, I have boundless tasks at hand.”
“Husband,  that I understand; let your hands abide for a span. ”
